Wallpaper (Translocation)

This work was made for the 'Translocation' instillation at the Hezi Cohen Gallery. The walls were covered in white wallpaper featuring thirty images that I drew. These were duplicated into a geometric grid that repeated itself in the circular architecture. This wallpaper, as a whole, created a closed environment simulating a Victorian parlor. The style of drawing was inspired by traditions of engraving, illustration and caricatures of the nineteenth-century English press.
